Performs system of systems functional architecture analysis of requirements specific to the MEADS program. Performs up-front functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer and contractor requirements into system architecture work products, using the DoD Architecture Framework. Analyses are performed at all levels to include development and coordination of UML work products (Use cases, Activity Diagrams, and Sequence Diagrams) to perform requirements analysis. Ensures the resulting requirements are flowed into the System Performance Specifications (SPS), Interface Requirements Specification (IFS), and related Interface Control Documents.
Emphasis on interface related architecture analysis and trades. Strong background in system level architecture trade studies, including DoDAF and UML modeling and related tools is required.

The MEADS system consists of four types of Major End Items (MEI’s) that operate within open netted-distributed communications architecture. This communications network and associated radios must support ad-hoc battle element configurations to accomplish future air and missile defense missions. MEADS is also required to interoperate with existing and future air defense command and control systems and current/future external air data sources.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
