Welcome to Orlando Bipolar Support. This support group is for those diagnosed with either Bipolar or Depression. Family and support members are welcome also. It is difficult for the average person to sign up for a group, not knowing anything about it. I can assure you that we are a group of people who have been working very hard to support others who have bipolar or depression. Most members have bipolar disorder. Bipolar members relate to the people who come with major, recurrent depression. It is, after all, one of the "poles" in bipolar. We are accepting of all. We make it a point not to be judgemental about who a person is or what he/she has done while experiencing both depression and/or manic episodes. How can we, who are judged everyday by millions of people, judge others? I, Elisabeth Prescott, the Group Organizer, have personally been facilitating groups for over six years. I know it works. It saves lives. I've watched it happen time and time again. Give it a try.
Seminole County Meeting
Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 6:00PM
BEGINS AT 6:00 P.M. - New library hours
As with this and all meetings, there is no set fee. However, we do accept donations to cover administrative costs. Remember, all volunteers are unpaid. Facilitators drive at least as far and more often than many members. If you wish to volunteer for something, let me know. We especially need people willing to facilitate.
There are no vending machines at this library so please bring a beverage with you if you'd like.
