POSITION: Controller

COMPANY: Tavistock Restaurant Collection is an Orlando, FL based company which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tavistock Group, a private investment organization with a portfolio of 200+ companies reaching across five continents.

REPORTS TO: Director of Finance


The Controller will be a key member of TRC’s Support Center, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. The Controller will support and maintain all Finance functions for the Company. The position will support Operations, but also serve as an independent and autonomous “check and balance”, thereby maintaining the highest level of accuracy and integrity in all financial statements and representations of the Company’s and/or its subsidiaries’ financial condition and performance.


Oversee and Maintain all Financial Reporting and Financial Systems:

• All periodic financial reporting for each business entity, including but not limited to: P&L Statements, Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements

• Prepare necessary Tax and Audit schedules

• Treasury, including cash flow management and banking relationships

• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for operational cash management and control

• Review monthly variance reporting

• Fixed Asset tracking

• Budgets: P&L, Capital Expenditures

• Financial Analysis as requested by Senior Leadership Team or Tavistock Group

• New Restaurant and Major Remodel pro formas and associated Investment and Pre-Opening estimates, and subsequent tracking/evaluation

• Payroll process and exception reporting, including calculation and payment for all Bonus Plans

• Implementation and maintenance of proper systems and procedures at restaurant and corporate levels to maintain smooth, accurate and timely delivery of all financial reporting


✓ Minimum of 5 years of experience working for a full-service restaurant company (food and alcohol) with multiple and geographically dispersed locations

✓ Strong background, knowledge and experience with various external Accounting, Payroll, POS and Administrative software platforms (e.g. Great Plains, Lawson, ADP, Paytronix, OpenTable, MICROS etc.)

✓ Experience managing in-house Accounting and Finance functions through a stand-alone in-house dedicated staff

✓ High level of competence in Excel, Powerpoint and Word

✓ Excellent financial analysis capability

✓ Detail oriented, and ability to tackle complex assignments across multiple departments
