SOLD AS A PAIR-ONE MONEY, and they are a matched set. NOT GOING TO SELL ONE ALONE. The vanity has not been re-finished, original patina, the dresser has been refinished. This is exactly how I purchased the set 23 years ago in Asheville, NC from the original family who owned them. The lady I bought them from in 1995 said they belonged to HER mother, originally. This lady was maybe 45 or 50 back in 1995, so I guess as her mother's, they would date to the 30s or 40s era. I have used these pieces almost 25 years and they are solid in structure. Cosmetically, yes, they show the signs of age and use such as dings and nicks and a few of the drawer pulls are missing. I am going to guess these were made in North Carolina where I bought them from the family there, and everyone in Antiques knows NC furniture is of a superior quality. I was in Asheville, not to far from furniture capital of Hickory, NC. You can see some stamps on back sides of furniture maker numbers, also elaborate hand written numbers or sizes in pencil. These obviously had some hand carving or finishing. I bought these because the Belleflower design was so beautiful, and I had never seen something like it in the more common factory furniture. As you can see, the design is very Art Deco and each drawer is like a piece of the puzzle design that must go in an certain order to create the image. I am hoping to find a good home for these with someone who loves them as they do not fit the decor in our new place. Please note: the cracks you see on the back side of the chest of drawers are just cracks in an extra layer of a thin piece of veneer wood. They affect nothing and you can remove the thin wood panel if you like. There is a solid wood back on the dresser underneath that is NOT cracked. Measurements: DRESSER (Bureau, Chest of Drawers): 45.75" tall, 28" wide across front, 16.25" deep (front to back). VANITY 30" tall alone (with Mirror attached, 65.25" high, 40" wide across front, 16" deep front to back. If you see the listing up, YES, THEY ARE AVAILABLE. Please only write if you are a serious buyer and have questions or want to make an appt to see them. CASH SALE ONLY.
