mid century 1950s ceramic lamp, polar bear design looks like the Alaska series by artist Matthew Adams, but is unmarked, elegant cylinder of blue and white highlighted with gold metallic, sitting on a wooden base, gold metal fittings, no shade, base is not original to lamp, 18 1/4" to top of ceramic, 31 1/4" to top of harp, lamp body in excellent condition, wood base is not properly centered, metal fittings have tarnish and oxidation

Back in the 1990s I sold a lot of Matthew Adams ceramics and the lamp with a proper base and untarnished metal would have been worth many hundreds. Looking online, the lamps are almost impossible to find.
