About the Role:
A Tippi Toes Dance Instructor leads children’s dance classes and must have a love for working with children, an interest in early childhood activities, and confidence in leading a group of young students in a fun and structured environment.
This role is extremely important to our program’s success, and we are looking for someone who is reliable, committed, and takes responsibility seriously.
Commitment & Reliability Expectations (PLEASE READ):
Must be dependable and show up to every scheduled class
No last-minute call-outs except in true emergencies
Must always be on time (arriving early for set-up is required)
Must learn and follow the lesson plans exactly as provided
This position requires consistency, professionalism, and accountability, as you will be working directly with children and representing our brand in schools
Responsibilities:
Travel to assigned school locations
Prepare for classes by reviewing and practicing lesson plans
Teach Tippi Toes curriculum with energy, enthusiasm, and positivity
Build a positive rapport with students and school staff
Follow all Tippi Toes curriculum, playlists, and lesson plans (no choreography creation required)
Arrive in proper dress code and allow appropriate time for set-up
Encourage student participation, interaction, and fun
Communicate regularly with school staff
Work with the School Director to help grow class enrollment
Maintain daily/weekly communication with the Franchise Owner regarding classes and students
Collaborate with fellow Tippi Toes instructors
Position Requirements:
Experience working with children is REQUIRED
Must be 21 years or older due to legal and insurance requirements for working with children and traveling between locations.
Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism
High energy, self-motivated, and positive attitude
Ability to communicate effectively with children and school staff
Must uphold the company mission, values, and brand image
Dance experience is a plus, but not required
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be willing to complete a background check
