Looking for a motivated student looking to find a part time to full time position with Structural firm specializing in single and multifamily residential design. We design simple to large complex single family homes as well as townhome and condo buildings throughout Florida. Producing full construction documents as well as structural calculations.
Requirements:
Junior/Senior level in engineering coursework.
Fundamental knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
Have taken or currently taking the following classes: Statics, Mechanics and materials.
Knowledge or exposure to applicable building codes: FBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, NDS.
Knowledge of how to use and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Enercalc, and Risa preferred but not required.
Ability to communicate clearly with project team members.
Strong written communication and organizational skills for calculation packages.
Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week until graduation.
