The Medical Architect will be responsible for the application and interpretation of medical equipment planning. Conduct multiple, complex design projects and building activation.
This will be located in our new office in Orlando, Florida.
Provide technical review and oversight of the design-build process for a new, large-scale facility
Responsible for planning and developing and equipment plan and associated infrastructure requirements
Provide an architectural review of the design to support the achievement of all client objectives including local codes, aesthetics, and geotechnical conditions
Support the design approval process, recommends design changes to improve design value and constructability
Assists the client with review and approval of contractor’s submittals
Ensures that designs are within federal and local codes concerning health, safety, and environment of real property facilities
Identify all building infrastructure requirements for equipment installation related to power, data, HVAC, plumbing, etc.
Support quality assurance and quality control of contractor works
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and disposition of government documentation requirements
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications To be successful in the role:
Bachelor’s in architecture from a program certified by the National Architecture Accrediting Board or
Shall have and maintain professional registration as an architect, NCARB or RA
Minimum of 5 years, but negotiable based on specific experience in facility and infrastructure design
Knowledgeable in different types of healthcare environments
Previous experience working on US Government and military domestic and international projects preferred
Familiarity with military programming rules and documentation is desirable
Ability to interact with all levels of management
Proficient in English both oral and written
Must be willing to travel for occasional international assignments
Able to obtain Secret Clearance.
