Downsizing the herd slowly. Not a fire sale, offers will not be accepted.

Updated Sept 20 with current goats for sale.

FOR NEW GOAT OWNERS:

--- Nina (speckled black). 6 year old, full Nubian. $550. Papered. Exposed to our saanen buck and very likely due in early October or at the latest November. Strong personality, excellent herd leader. Too pregnant to move. Will have babies pulled and be milkstand trained. Available 2-3 weeks after kidding, or when she leaves her kids. Price will not change after she has her babies.

---Snow. About 3 years old. Papered Subian. $450. (Handbred successfully to our saanen buck Sept 10, $550 if confirmed bred) Nina's daughter. Currently milking 1.5 quarts a day. Been milking since late Feb. Been with us since Feb. Perfect manners, amazing on the milkstand. Easy to milk, great for learning to milk on. Super sweet and the best tasting milk I've ever tasted.

Will not separate Nina and snow. They've been through a coyote attack and stressful move already this year. Neither will do well without the other.
They're ideal for a first time goat owner starting up a milking herd. Not over the top milkers. But very dependable milkers. They would provide enough milk for a family of 4-6. Snow freshened at over three quarts a day. I expect the same from Nina.

Very hardy, will not die easily. Carry a little extra weight instead of dropping it all in the pail, which I prefer. When they get sick or stressed, they have reserves to draw from instead of keeling over like some of our skinny saanens.

--- Daisy. $425 Two year old, dry doe. Cream colored, Nubian ears. Exposed to saanen buck. 75% Nubian, 25% saanen. Father was a Nubian from slow turtle farms. Mother is a Subian who milked through the winter averaging 3 quarts a day. Still milking 2.5 quarts a day at 16+ months into her lactation. I like this doe, had high hopes for her, but she won't freshen when I really need her to in Dec. (Shares the same dad as Trudy has).

FOR SHOW HOMES:

---Treasure and Tea. Bonded twins. Born April 5. $350 each. Only going together. For show homes, very correct and sharp lookers. Registration in process as experimental grades. 75% saanen, 25% nubian. Mother was a good, but not over-the-top milker. Nice high, elastic udder, I expect theirs to be a little lower. From a line of very sweet, easy to work with personalities.

FOR BREEDING:

--- KANDI-KANE'S NOEL'S KRIS. Full saanen, 6 years old. $250. 1-3 breeding seasons left in him. He's bred out here. Throws normal sized kids. Never had a big head from him. Daughters mature at an average of 2 inches taller than mothers. Milk like half cows, some pulling through the winter at 3+ quarts a day. (Not an estimation, we weight and record all milk twice a day.) Behaves himself. Rough front feet. Requires trimming every three weeks (he's drylotted on sugar sand, turned out to graze 1-2 hours a day. Limestone or clay would really help him). Daughters have not gotten his feet.

More photos available upon request. Not confusing who's who with other photos of moms, dads, babies and udders... Last photo is our saanen buck.
