We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Sign Installation Assistant & Site Surveyor to join our team. In this dual-capacity role, you will be the "boots on the ground," responsible for both the initial data collection (surveying) and the physical execution (assisting with installations) of our signage projects. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on field work, technical measuring, and seeing a project through from measurement to final mounting.
** Key Responsibilities **
Field Surveys: Visit prospective job sites to take precise measurements, capture detailed photographs, and document existing site conditions (e.g., wall surfaces, electrical access, and potential obstructions).
Installation Support: Assist lead installers in the mounting, leveling, and securing of various sign types, including channel letters, monument signs, and vinyl graphics.
Site Preparation: Prepare installation surfaces, remove old signage, and ensure all necessary tools and materials are organized for the day's projects.
Technical Documentation: Complete survey reports using [Your Software/App] to provide our design and production teams with the accurate data they need for fabrication.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand/power tools and assist with the setup of ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts as required.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in construction, signage, or a related field trade is preferred, but we will train a motivated candidate.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with tape measures and digital cameras/smartphones; ability to read basic blueprints or sketches is a plus.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work comfortably at heights (ladders/lifts), and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required to travel between site locations.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills for interacting with clients on-site.
