We are seeking a well-rounded Skilled Trades Technician to support ongoing work throughout the Orlando and Daytona regions. This role is ideal for someone who excels in multiple trades and is comfortable handling a broad mix of carpentry, drywall, painting, solid-surface tasks, and general repair work. This is a full-time 1099 contractor position, with most projects scheduled during overnight or weekend hours.
Responsibilities:
• Complete a variety of repair and improvement tasks within retail and facility environments, including finish carpentry, patching and painting, drywall repairs, and fixture/work surface adjustments.
• Diagnose issues on-site and resolve them with minimal supervision.
• Review drawings, diagrams, and work scopes to execute tasks correctly.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain clear communication with project managers and on-site contacts.
• Deliver work that meets quality standards and stays on schedule.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or a related trade.
• Proficiency in one or more core trades—carpentry, drywall, painting, cabinetry, solid-surface work—along with the ability to handle general cross-trade tasks.
• Capable of working independently and adjusting to varied job scopes.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as required by the project schedule.
• Must reside in or commute reliably to the Orlando/Daytona corridor.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and dependable transportation.
