Schedule: 5:15 AM – Until Finished
Schedule Details:
Schedule operates on a day-to-day basis depending on operational needs
Daily confirmation sheet will be sent to confirm work schedule
Not guaranteed daily work, but expected 3–4 days per week
Approximately 11-hour shifts
Saturday work required after weather events and holidays
Job Summary
The Driver Helper teams with the Route Driver and assists in the collection of waste and/or recyclable material. This position requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Route Driver with collection of waste and recyclable materials
Ride on collection truck and load materials as directed
Follow all Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules
Comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) requirements
Follow all local, state, and federal regulations
Immediately report unsafe situations or service-related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch
Perform other assigned duties as needed
Steel-toe boots required (will be checked before assignment to truck)
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Must be dependable and flexible with schedule
