A commercial landlord is seeking a dependable local person to inspect and help maintain a five-tenant, 6,500-square-foot commercial property in Windermere.
This is a very part-time position and is ideal for a retired handyman or someone with construction and property-maintenance experience who lives within 15–20 minutes of the property.
Regular Responsibilities
Visit the property once each week to pick up litter from the parking lot and common areas.
Complete a detailed property inspection once per month using our checklist.
Take and submit clear photos of the property.
Check the overall cleanliness and condition of the center.
Inspect the dumpster and waste-bin area.
Record the water-meter reading.
Confirm that exterior lights and signs are working.
Run and test the sprinkler system.
Review the landscaper’s work.
Check with tenants regarding roof leaks, maintenance problems, or other concerns.
Report issues to the home office by checklist, phone, email, text, and photographs.
When repairs are needed, you may be offered additional work at $25 per hour, including painting, pressure washing, sprinkler repairs, minor maintenance, and other handyman tasks.
Requirements
You must live within 15–20 minutes of the property. The property must be visited every week.
Reliable transportation is required. A pickup truck or SUV is preferred.
Handyman, construction, repair, or property-maintenance experience is required.
Ability to use a smartphone and computer for photos, email, text messages, scanning, and reports.
Ability to safely climb an attached ladder to inspect a one-story, approximately 20-foot-high flat roof.
Dependable, observant, organized, and comfortable interacting with commercial tenants.
