This is a Edwards prototype made in 2009 in Japan and was going to be the high end guitar for Edwards. These 5 were not made to be sold, but given to some of Japan's great guitar players to play and comment on. Prototype 1, 2, 3 are still at ESP's custom shop, but number 4 and 5 did not make it back to the factory. They both turned up in America. I have number 5 and I heard number 4 is owned by a guitar builder who used to work for Ed Romaine custom guitars in Las Vegas. After they were returned, they decided they were to expensive to build as a high end guitar for the Edwards line. Here is the information on them. It is a maple body with Rosewood top and a Burl wood top, no Veneer tops. The neck is a 7 piece, ebony 24 fret board, bone nut, custom locking tuners, 500k pots, orange drop caps and cooper foiled. Instead of selector switch, each pickup is connected to a 3 way toggle and both Humbuckers are also coil tapped. You can turn on one pickup and coil tap it, leave it on and put on the single coil, switch it back to Humbucker or then on both Humbuckers and coil tap one of both. The bottom toggle switch is for the Piezo bridge. This boosts everything. The top Toggle switch is an on off switch for all pickups. This custom Edwards has never been used on stage, only in my friends studio for recording only. It was very hard to get any information on these guitars. Edwards will tell you nothing about them, I got my information from a private source from someone is Japan? Since times are hard for players, I would also consider trading down if they have something I would be interested in, but not interested in Acoustic Guitars. Les Pauls before 2000 or after 2020, Older Fenders etc. If we reach a deal I will drive up and deliver my guitars. This come with hard cases. If you are interested, notify me with a contact number and we can meet at "On Stage Music" in New Port Richey and you can plug it in. I am FIRM on price.
