Up for sale is a custom strat with a genuine 1970's Gibson minibucker. The neck is an MIM Fender standard strat neck. Feels excellent -- frets are great and the truss works just as it should. The rosewood fretboard on this one is particularly pretty. Tuners are Fender brand, original to the neck. The body is solid alder wood, nothing fancy (probably Squier), but resonates beautifully. The cavity beneath the pickup was enlarged to accommodate humbucker and this was done somewhat crudely, but of course it's completely covered by the pickguard. Volume and tone controls. Brand new set of strings just went on it. In any case, for the $300 price, you're pretty much just paying for the neck and the pickup, the rest is all bonus.
Overall the guitar plays great, sounds fantastic, and is surely a one-of-a-kind Strat. The old Gibson pickup gives it a super articulate crisp tone, but if you roll off the tone a bit it can do a great jazzy tone as well.
$300 cash FIRM. All replies offering less will be ignored and deleted. Might consider a trade or partial trade+cash for other interesting guitars and basses or maybe a quality reverb pedal.
