Included with my training will be POV video while I work with your dog. This allows me to share the progress with you, give you something to look back on if you are present, or even allow me to work independently of you if that works best and still allow you to see and understand what I’m doing. I currently am not operating a social media account so these videos will be primarily for your benefit and won’t add any additional cost to the sessions. If you prefer I do not film at all, just let me know ahead of time.
My approach to training can be described as Balanced or Least Invasive Methods Available (LIMA) which basically means that there is no direct punishment and that instead I develop boundaries and limitations for your dog, primarily with the leash, that will not leave a negative impression on them, but will be highly effective in aiding in their understanding. I also use positive reinforcement to motivate and round out that training methodology. You must know that I will only use my own provided slip leash for the best results. No harnesses, even for the little dogs.
I have worked with high fear and aggression cases in the past with success, building trust and leadership no matter the dog’s size, breed, age, or disposition. That all being said, there are some limitations to the available work I can do right now. Due to my limited availability, I cannot reasonably offer the following types of behavior modification work:
Human aggression (I can work on leash reactivity though!)
Resources guarding
High level fear cases
Child bite cases
Potty training (just takes a lot of time and consistency)
I can offer some advice with these cases but you should really work with a seasoned behaviorist to get the best results. These could take weeks or months and I am only in Florida for a limited time and I do not want to take your money if I can’t leave you totally satisfied!
