Helpdesk Engineer (Downtown Orlando)
Managed IT services firm seeking to hire an energetic and motivated helpdesk engineer to start immediately in the downtown Orlando area.
Work in a comfortable 3000 sq. foot standalone office building that has a collaborative open floorplan, ample parking and located in the trendy Mills 50 neighborhood. The office has a full kitchen with catered lunches on Friday. Our company provides an outsourced IT department to a variety of small local businesses. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic and well organized person that enjoys working in a team environment.
When we impress customers:
8am-5pm Monday - Friday position, 1 hour lunch, hourly paid OT after-hours scheduled maintenance several hours a month.
Position responsibilities and tasks:
Provide excellent customer service to our established customer base
Identification and resolution of technical issues via remote / phone / onsite support
Secure customer environments with multiple layers of desktop threat protection
Patch installation for desktops / servers using maintenance toolsets
Automating repetitive helpdesk tasks using monitoring toolsets and scripting
Update documentation in a wiki to avoid troubleshooting the same issue twice
Review customer equipment for improvements ensuring technology is right sized and efficient
Hardware PC Repair / Virus cleanup
Transfer/escalation of support cases to helpdesk/network engineers
Keep tickets moving forward to facilitate a team environment
Candidate responsibilities and tasks:
2+ years professional experience in some or all of the following technologies:
Microsoft Windows Client:
MS Office client (2010-2019), Microsoft OS (7-10), Internet Explorer (10-Edge)
Microsoft Windows Server:
Active Directory (NTFS permissions, User creation), DNS Server, DHCP Server, Exchange (User creation),
Networked Printer Management
Third Party Software:
Firefox, Chrome, Adobe, Java, Google advanced search, Connectwise, Labtech
LAN & VPN/Remote Connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Managed Services Provider experience in a billable environment with ticket systems and RMM programs will ensure consideration as a top candidate
Demonstrate excellent written/verbal communication with sensitivity to customer needs
Ability to provide compassionate, intelligent customer service
Strong pattern recognition abilities for logical troubleshooting
Excellent documentation, organization and planning skills to create / improve procedural workflows
Well versed in MS office suite troubleshooting including Outlook configuration for Exchange
Familiar with client OS migrations (XP-10)
Familiar with smartphone troubleshooting
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment unassisted
