Core Responsibilities
Source qualified drivers through job boards, social media, trucking schools, referrals, and recruiting events.
Conduct interviews to assess safety awareness, work history, and fit with company culture.
Track applicant pipeline from initial contact to orientation and improve process efficiency.
Work closely with operations, dispatch, and safety departments to define hiring needs and place drivers appropriately
Promote company benefits and pay packages to attract drivers and clearly explain routes, home time, equipment, and expectations.
Build relationships with driving schools and attend job fairs or recruiting events.
Respond quickly to driver inquiries via phone, text, email, and social media.
Monitor turnover metrics and help develop strategies to improve driver retention.
Provide feedback to management about market trends, competitor pay, and driver concerns.
Assist with orientation coordination (scheduling travel, preparing materials, conducting presentations).
Support marketing by creating job ads, flyers, and social media posts.
Participate in retention initiatives, such as follow-up calls to new drivers.
